Our Mission is to :
- Lead in the development and collaborative research projects in fruit flies
- Develop and application of technical solutions of fruit flies
- Organize collaborative technical and scientific research projects between various countries in field control and post harvest management of tropical fruit flies to overcome phytosanitary /non tariff barriers and improve export access
- Unite countries by way of collaborative research, training in surveillance and biosecurity programmes to enhance international trade and minimize the further spread of fruit flies
- Establish training and teaching programmes
Able farmers to select, adapt and apply knowledge – intensive techniques that are productive, profitable and sustainable.
- Assist farmers in market driven activities/operations with environmentaly friendly technologies and practices.
- Facilitate industry and government partnership approach to the development and implementation of fruit flies management systems
- Complement the work of the industry and government groups by improving the framework in which they operate
Maintain and continuously update a database of information for access of fruit fly workers in South East Asia countries participating in the ICMPFF, a repository and dissemination of information
- Maintain and improve international and domestic confidence in member countries fruit fly management system
Contribute to the sustainability of crop management system, native environment, improve food security and market access competitiveness.
